About me
Photography has been a part of my life since childhood. When I was just 8 years old- I knew I loved it. I soon turned my lens on toy animals, sharing them in scenic settings on Instagram, where I built a following of over 14,000. A meaningful gift from my grandmother—prints of my photos, beautifully matted—affirmed my passion and encouraged me to see my work as art. As I grew, I explored darkroom techniques and took AP photography classes, but the pandemic stifled my creativity, making photography feel more like an obligation than an outlet.
Everything changed during my senior year of college when a professor reignited my love for the art by encouraging creativity through play and exploration. Since then, I’ve embraced photography with a renewed passion, capturing the delicate balance between nature and urban life. My work highlights the quiet beauty of serene landscapes and wildlife while also exploring the energy of city streets, revealing moments of contrast and connection. Through my photography, I aim to invite viewers to see the world through my lens and appreciate the harmony between these two worlds. – Kiara Josefine/Josefinephoto
